Episode 6: Henri Schoeman Chasing Tokyo 2020

This week on Chasing PB Podcast we have 2016 Rio Bronze medalist, 2018 Commonwealth Games Champion, Henri Schoeman.

Before the interview, I dive a bit into the process of qualifying for the 2020 Olympics (link to Brad Culp article here), and also go through the results of the 2019 Cape Town World Cup, which Henri himself competed in, and which was won by Ai Ueda on the women’s side, and Alex Yee on the men’s side.

Henri and I covered a lot of ground in our roughly hour long conversation from his recent engagement, to his plans for different training camps between Namibia and Thailand over the next two years, to discussing pretty much all lengths of triathlon from Super League to Ironman racing in the Olympics, and also where Henri sees non-draft racing fitting into his career. There was a lot more that we unpacked, and I hope you enjoyed this week’s episode. Any sort of subscribe on social media (@ChasingPBest) or a review is always appreciated. Tune in next week for episode 7, and episode 2 of the ITU season preview with Casper Stornes!
